Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!

On August 3, the Orthodox Church commemorates Our Venerable Fathers Isaac, Dalmatios, and Faustus of the Dalmatian Monastery. These ascetics persevered in prayer and monastic discipline, becoming steadfast witnesses to the Orthodox faith.

Today’s Scripture readings are 1 Corinthians 15:12–19 and Matthew 21:18–22. Saint Paul anchors Christian hope in the Resurrection, while Christ’s words concerning the fig tree call us to fruitful faith and prayer. The venerable ascetics commemorated today pursued that fruit through perseverance.
