Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!
On July 6, the Orthodox Church commemorates Our Venerable Father Sisoes the Great, one of the most beloved fathers of the Egyptian desert.
The appointed readings for today are Romans 16:17–24 and Matthew 13:10–23. St. Paul encourages believers to remain faithful to the apostolic teaching and to stand firm against deception, while our Lord explains the Parable of the Sower, revealing that spiritual fruitfulness depends upon hearts prepared to receive His word with faith and perseverance.
The life of St. Sisoes the Great embodies these sacred teachings. Renowned for his profound humility, deep repentance, and unwavering trust in God's mercy, he reminds us that the path to holiness is marked by continual conversion of heart and steadfast devotion to Christ.
Our next livestream is scheduled for July 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
