Glory to Jesus Christ!
On September 25, the Orthodox Church commemorates Our Venerable Father Sergius, Abbot and Wonderworker of Radonezh.
St. Sergius of Radonezh is one of the most beloved saints of Russia and the Orthodox world. Known for his humility, ascetic life, and devotion to prayer, he became a beacon of holiness in his time. Through his guidance, many disciples embraced monasticism, and his influence helped renew spiritual life in the Church. Countless miracles were attributed to his intercessions, and he continues to be a source of encouragement for all who seek to follow Christ with sincerity of heart.
A Model of Holiness and Prayer
St. Sergius reminds us that holiness is not found in power or wealth but in humility, prayer, and love for God and neighbor. His life calls us to deepen our own prayer life and to trust in the Lord’s providence in all things.
