Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!
On February 19, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Apostle Archippos, the Apostle Philemon, and the righteous Apphia—faithful servants of Christ in the apostolic age. Through their hospitality and devotion, the early Church flourished within their household. Their witness reminds us that every Christian home is called to become a place of prayer and living faith.
The readings from Joel 2:12–26 and Joel 3:12–21 proclaim the Lord’s call to heartfelt repentance and His promise of restoration. As the prophet speaks of judgment and renewal, the Church invites us to examine our hearts and return to God with sincerity and hope.
