Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

On May 4, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Virgin Martyr Pelagia, whose life of purity and faithful witness unto death continues to inspire the Church. Her steadfast devotion calls us to pursue holiness with courage and trust in God.

The Scripture readings for this service—Acts 10:1–16 and John 6:56–69—reveal the widening of God’s covenant to all nations and Christ’s teaching on abiding in Him as the source of eternal life. These passages guide us toward a deeper understanding of communion with Christ and the transformative power of His grace.
