Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!
On March 18. the Orthodox Church commemorates St. Cyril of Jerusalem, a renowned teacher and bishop of the early Church whose catechetical instruction helped form generations of believers in the truths of the Orthodox faith. His writings continue to guide the faithful in understanding the mysteries of salvation and the sacramental life of the Church.
The appointed reading from Isaiah 26:21–27:9 reveals both divine judgment and divine mercy. The prophet speaks of the Lord’s care for His vineyard and the cleansing of sin through repentance. During Great Lent, the Church presents these words as a call to purification of heart and renewed commitment to God.
