On January 26, the Orthodox Church commemorates Saint Xenophon, his wife Mary, and their sons John and Arcadios. Their holy lives reveal the providence of God at work within the family and the call to trust Him through every trial.
Today’s Epistle reading (1 Peter 2:21–3:9) exhorts the faithful to follow Christ with patience and compassion, while the Gospel reading (Mark 12:13–17) calls us to render our whole lives to God with discernment and integrity.
