Glory to Jesus Christ!
On October 17, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Prophet Hosea, one of the Twelve Minor Prophets of the Old Testament. Hosea’s life and writings teach us about God’s enduring love and His call to repentance, faithfulness, and renewal of heart.
The Prophet Hosea lived during a time when the people of Israel had turned away from God, yet his message revealed that divine love is patient and unrelenting. Even when mankind strays, God continues to seek reconciliation and healing for His people. Hosea’s words echo through the centuries as a reminder of hope, forgiveness, and steadfast love.
Today’s Scripture Readings
Our reflection today was guided by the following readings:
Philippians 1:27–2:4 – St. Paul encourages us to live in unity, humility, and love, striving together for the faith of the Gospel.
Luke 9:12–18 – Christ miraculously feeds the multitude, showing that He provides not only for our physical needs but also nourishes our souls with His grace and compassion.
Continue in Prayer and Faith
