Glory to Jesus Christ!
On December 4, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Great-Martyr Barbara and St. John of Damascus, whose lives bear witness to purity of faith, theological clarity, and unwavering devotion to Christ.
The appointed readings—Galatians 3:23–29 and Mark 5:24–34—invite us to behold the unity we receive in Christ and the healing granted to those who come to Him in faith. In this simple service of psalms and prayers, the Church teaches us to trust more deeply in the mercy of God and to imitate the faith of the saints.
