December 23 is the Fourth Day of the Forefeast of the Holy Nativity. Today, we also commemorate the Holy Ten Martyrs of Crete, whose faithful witness strengthens the Church as she prepares to welcome the incarnate Christ.
The appointed readings from Hebrews 4:1-13 and Mark 10:2-12 invite the faithful to examine the heart, embrace obedience to God, and live in faithfulness.
