Glory to Jesus Christ!
On December 1, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Prophet Nahum. His message of God’s steadfast justice and mercy prepares us to hear today’s appointed readings.
The epistle, 1 Timothy 1:1–7, calls us to hold fast to a faith that is pure and sincere. In the Gospel, Luke 19:37–44, we witness Christ’s lament over Jerusalem, a moving reminder of the peace He longs to grant those who turn to Him.
