Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!
On June 12, the Orthodox Church commemorates St. Onuphrios the Great of Egypt. Revered throughout the Orthodox Church for his life of ascetic devotion and profound communion with God, St. Onuphrios remains a model of faithful perseverance and spiritual dedication.
The Scripture readings appointed for this service are Romans 5:17–6:2 and Matthew 9:14–17. These passages emphasize the abundance of God's grace through Jesus Christ and the new life that believers receive through Him. The Gospel further reveals that the transforming power of Christ calls us to embrace a renewed way of life shaped by the Kingdom of God.
The witness of St. Onuphrios reminds us that the pursuit of holiness requires steadfast prayer, trust in divine providence, and a continual turning of the heart toward God. His example encourages us to seek spiritual growth through repentance and faithful participation in the life of the Church.
Our next livestream is scheduled for June 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM.
