Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever!

On July 24, the Orthodox Church commemorates Martyrs and Passion-Bearers Boris and Gleb. Saints Boris and Gleb accepted suffering without retaliation and became radiant examples of meekness and self-sacrificing love.

Today’s Scripture readings are Romans 8:28–39 and John 15:17–16:2 (Saints); 1 Corinthians 11:8–22 and Matthew 17:10–18. The appointed passages proclaim God’s unfailing love, perseverance amid persecution, and faith that trusts Christ even in weakness. Saints Boris and Gleb reveal the strength of meekness and self-sacrifice.
